Howard Fineman's Death a Loss for the Journalistic Community
Howard Fineman, a veteran political correspondent who spent three decades covering the corridors of power in Washington, died on Tuesday at the age of 75.
Fineman was born in 1947 in Philadelphia to a shoe salesman father and a mother who was a schoolteacher. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1969 and began his journalism career as a reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
In 1977, Fineman moved to Washington to cover the Carter administration for Newsweek magazine. He later joined NBC News, where he served as a White House correspondent and political analyst for more than 20 years. Fineman also worked as a senior editor for the Huffington Post and a columnist for the Los Angeles Times.
Fineman was known for his keen insight and analysis on all things politics. He was a frequent guest on television and radio shows, and he wrote several books, including "The Thirteen American Arguments" and "Trump: A Very Stable Genius."
Fineman's death is a loss for the journalistic community. He was a respected and admired reporter who always strove to be fair and objective in his coverage of politics.
